Art Linnakallio Goes Baana Symposium Kempele Finland

The starting point for ‘Ketojen kaipaus’ wall mural was location of Kempele, a former seabed meadow landscape. Mural depicts plant species in the memory of the people; such as a cat bell, a strawberry, a mountain crab, a beach bun and a beeberry. The work puts human in plants perspective, highlighting the aesthetics of meadow plants and allowing the viewer to experience a journey into the summers of childhood or adolescence.

This work is a contribution to the conservation of the meadows.

Under motorway passage, next to Zeppelin shopping centre.

Total of two 6 metre walls.
Painting was made in 6 days, with my assistant.
